This morning Raga keeps you engrossed in its mood by the unique way of singing both the Madhyams and the Komal Dhaivat. Raga Lalit is sung in detail with the Bada Khayal and Chhota Khayal improvisation. The emotions of this Raga are expressed by the slow Aalap and Aalap Badhat. A variety of Swara patterns are practiced to perfection. Raga Jog is the popular night melody introduced in this course. Raga Kedar is reviewed with development. The Chhota Khayal in this Raga is reviewed and another composition in the same Raga is learnt. 

The students applying for this course need complete the pre requisite assessment.

To do Swar Sadhana to perfect the application of Swaras in Lalit

To sing the Swar Vistar in Lalit

To compose and practise singing the Paltas in Lalit

To learn the Bada Khayal in Raga Lalit

To sing the Bol Taan and Taan in Lalit

To learn a Chhota Khayal in Raga Lalit with Vistar

To review Raga Kedar Chhota Khayal and improvise in Drut Ektaal

To compose  and sing Paltas in Kedar

To practise singing the Raga chalan of Jog

To do Swar Sadhana to perfect the application of Swaras in Jog

To sing the Swar Vistar in Jog

To learn a Chhota Khayal in Raga Jog with Vistar

Explanation and discussion on Ragas that exist in differnt forms using Thaat system taking Lalit for example

 

 

 

The student has completed HV314 from the academy OR the student has Chhota Khayal in about 35 Ragas and is able to present at least 23 Ragas with Swar Vistar, Aalap and Taan. The student is able to present 23 Bada Khayals with development. The Bada Khayal includes Ragas Yaman, Bhairav, Bhupali, Bihag, Bageshri, Bhimpalasi, Malkauns, Jaijaivanti, Todi and Darbari. The student is able to compose ones own Sargam Geet/Tarana in the Ragas learnt set to various basic Taals.
